Appearence:

Amber is a pretty tortoiseshell she-cat. Her pelt has a mix of several colors. Dark ginger, light ginger, white, black, and gray. Her paws are white along with her muzzle. She has very light ginger fur going down her nose and cheeks like a mask covering her face. Her back is mainly black and gray, but there are tiny white streaks everywhere along her body. Amber's eyes are a pretty light blue color, the color of a clear blue day or perfectly blue river.

Personality:

This healer apprentice never gives up on anything. She always tries her best at everything. Amber loves to hum or maybe sing sometimes, but not in front of other cats. Its a little embarressing to her. She tries to listen to everything her mentor tells her, and tries to learn everything about healers. Amber is very mischievous sometimes. You could turn your back for one moment and she will be gone! This she-cat loves to do daring things, you could dare her to act all that in front of the leader and she will! Amber doesn't believe in love at first site one bit. She thinks its stupid and strange. How can you fall in love with a cat you hardly know?

History:

Amber was born to her mother and father. This she-cat had no siblings and never did. She was always bored and alone in the nursery, she was the only kits there and her mother seemed to be sick all the time. Her father would come for a few minutes and spend time with her before doing warrior duties again. During her boredom in the nursery, she became friends with the medicine cat apprentice, who is now her mentor. She was facinated by what healers do, and always wished to be that close to her ancestors. The healer soon died of old age and her friend became the new healer.

Amber spent a lot of time helping the healer. She even helped take care of her mom who soon passed away from a disease. Her father disappeared mysteriously before she was apprenticed. And here she is now, her dreams have come true, she is going to be a healer.

RP Sample:

"Father!" A tortoiseshell she-kit leaped onto a black tom. He chuckled and shook his fur.
"Get off you little nut!" he purred and when Amber fell on the ground, he nuzzled her and licked her.
"Can we play!" she asked and batted his ear playfully. Her father purred in amusement, then gave her a light, but powerful shove. Amber laughed and got into a fighting stance. This time, she dodged her father's attack and leaped onto his large paw.
"I will get you this time!" she growled playfully and lightly bit his shoulder. Her father fakely yowled and easily shook her off. Amber laughed and her father touched noses with her.
"I have to do more duties now. I'll come back later." he mewed and nudged her one last time before running off. The tortoiseshell kit sat there and watched as her father disappeared in the distance with a hunting party. She sighed. The only fun she had was when her father came by, but now, he was busy to much and most of the day she would lay around doing nothing.

Nightfall soon settled in and Amber walked into the nursery at the sound of her mother's call. The she-kit sighed and padded inside. Her mother curled up in a ball around her to keep her warm during the night. Amber closed her eyes and fell asleep.

The fluttering of a bird's feather woke the small she-kit the next day. Her green eyes looked around the nursery, her mother was still curled up in a ball sleeping. Amber stretched and silently padded outside of the nursery. Everyone was up early. But why was everyone in one big circle? She wanted to find out for herself. The she-kit silently padded into the clearing, no one noticed her. Amber crouched low to the ground and eavesdropped on the warriors.
"Shadedstripe is missing!" mewed one of the toms. Everyone around him gasped and looked around. Ambers eyes grew wide. Shadedstripe was her father! No! He couldn't be missing! She saw him yesturday! "The hunting party split up and he wanted to go alone. He never came back last night. And the Dawn patrol couldn't pick up his scent." This was enough, Amber felt tears streaming from her eyes. She turned and ran toward the entrace to the camp. No! He couldn't be missing! I'll find him fo myself! she yowled in her mind.
"Amber!"

Describe the reason why your character decided to become a healer's apprentice.

Amber was born to her mother, Graycloud and her father Shadedstripe. In her kit-hood, she never had any siblings, so she was always lonely in the nursery, but thats also because she was the only kit in the nursery as well. She became friends with the healer apprentice at the time when she was a kit. Her friend told her everything about what it was like to be a healer. Amber listened to her friend everytime she explained to her. This is what inspired Amber to become a healer apprentice in the first place. But also, her mother always seemed to be sick, and sometimes, she would help the healer and the healer apprentice with her mother. She already knew how to treat some things, why not finish knowing by becomming a healer apprentice?

How does your character treat his/her patients and the rest of the clan? How does your character react to the Healer and her lessons?

Amber, well, she is very enthusiastic towards the subject about healing. She listens and tries to learn everything her mentor teaches her. Amber treats all of her Clanmates the same way she wants to be treated, she is kind and loyal to her Clan. When she treats her patients, she makes sure they are confortable in the first place and treats all their wounds and sicknesses with care. For things she doesn't know, she hopes for help from her mentor. Amber will never leave her patients to fend for themselves. She will always be there to help.

Being a healer is an important position in the clan. They need to be very active, as they have the responsibility of caring for the sick and wounded, and communicating with TideStars. Explain why you would be a good choice for a healer's apprentice.

I am very comfortable with this position and have been a healer apprentice a lot in my rping life. I may be on at least 20 sites, but I do a daily check on them everyday, which means that I am pretty much a very active member. It is very unusual for me to never come on! xD If I almost never come on, there could be two reasons, I'm on vacation or I was banned from the computer and was unable to tell you. But don't worry, if any of those are the case, I'll try and tell you the best I can!

A she-cat padded along the soft sandy beach. She gently took in the air and purred. Nothing was better then scenting the air near the beach. Amber gently closed her eyes and let the sea water wet her paws a bit. She pricked her ears when she heard yowls up ahead. Huh? What could be happening at this time of day? she thought and broke into a run. Amber didn't know what was happening, but that yowl didn't sound good at all. She ran as fast as sh could, her paws beatng on the wet sandy beach, leaving her pawprints behind. She stopped and listened. The yowling had stopped. Where did it come from? The tortoiseshell she-cat looked around with wide eyes. She might as well go back to camp, and see if Wave heard it.

A little while later, she padded into the clearing and spotted her mentor tending to a warrior's wounds. "Wave, did you hear a yowl before." Her mentor looked at her with a frown across her face.
"No, where did you hear it?" she asked curiously with concern hinted i her voice.
"I heard it by the beach."
"Show me." Amber pricked her ear and broke into a run. Wave ran behind her with a bunch of herbs in her mouth. She stopped at the place where she thought she heard the yowl.
"I think its this way."she mewed. The tortoiseshell she-cat padded around a bush and her eyes widened with shock. An apprentice laid limp on his side.
"Oh my! Amber, check and see if he is alive!" Amber ran to the apprentice. She was relieved when she saw his black stomach rise and fall with ease.
"He's alive, but he is badly wounded." Amber ran to Wave and took some cobwebs, Aloe and Ki from Wave. The healer apprentice examined the tom's wounds. She place some Aloe onto his shoulder, which was wounded the most, and ontop of that, some Ki, to prevent the wound from getting infected. Amber carefully placed the cobwebs all over his wounds and looked at Wave. "He's alright." she smiled. Her mentor smiled back.
"Well done Amber! You will be a great healer someday!"
"We should take Talon back to camp." she mewed and Wave gently picked him up by the scruff. The two healers headed back towards the camp.

(I hope I don't get in trouble for using Wave in this rp! After all, if I do get this position, Wave will be her mentor xD)
